Speaking at his bi-monthly press conference at his office on Charles Street, Port of Spain, Rowley condemned Gibbs's and the government's handling of the alleged assassination plot against Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and members of her Cabinet. On Sunday, the Express reported exclusively that high-ranking members of the Police Service admitted the plot was not real. "Had the police maintained its independence from the madness of the government, this debacle would not have happened," said Rowley. More. |
