Speaking at his bi-monthly press conference at his office on Charles Street, Port of Spain, Rowley condemned Gibbs's and the government's handling of the alleged assassination plot against Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and members of her Cabinet. On Sunday, the Express reported exclusively that high-ranking members of the Police Service admitted the plot was not real. RETURN SILK, KAMLA By Clint Chan Tack Tuesday, January 10 2012 OPPOSITION LEADER Dr Keith Rowley yesterday told Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to return the award of “Silk” she received from President George Maxwell Richards on December 29, 2011. Charging that Persad-Bissessar may have abused her office as Prime Minister by having this title conferred on herself, Rowley said, “The Integrity Commission has ears to hear and to see it.
